Sophie's Weekly Blog

Hi Sophie R here I just want to tell you all about what Room 8 have been learning this week.  We have been learning about Halal and Haram foods and created our own Halal menu.

We have also learned how to say our names in French and we recorded it on the microphones and listened back to our voices. Some of us have great French accents.

We are looking forword to next week because we are going on a treasure hunt to find out what our new topic.

Islam

Our RE topic this term is Islam. We have been learning all about the Muslim food laws. We worked together in our co-op groups to decide what foods were Halal and Haram. 

We also got together with room 9 to have a debate on animal testing. We used De Bono's hats and our thinking skills to plan our arguments. 

Basketball

We have been practising our basketball skills this week in PE. Look at our excellent passing! 

Quadblogging

Primary 3/4 our Quad has been announced for our Quadblogging!

We will be teaming up with two schools from America and other from England! Very exciting!

Lewis' Blog of the week...

The thing I enjoyed the most was my French. We learned how to say bonjour and cava.

We learned the Islam food laws. We learned the Capital of France which is Paris.

We are looking forward to quadblogging very soon!

Active Maths

Today we were learning how to tell the time. Some of us were developing our skills and others were consolidating them. We had lots of fun during our active maths. 

Class Charter

Today we talked about our rights and responsibilities as children. We worked in our co-op groups to match our responsibilities to the correct right. We worked hard to encourage each other and work co-operatively. 

After that, we made out class charter together that we are going to sign tomorrow. 

We are all settling in well and enjoying getting to know our new classmates!

Welcome back to Kirklandneuk everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful summer! 

Day 1 in room 8 was lots of fun and we started to get to know each other a bit more.
