The start of term 3 has been very busy and exciting for Room 10. As part of our Enterprise topic this year we were in charge of organising the Shoe Box Appeal for Blythswood Care alongside Room 11. This was a lot of responsibility and involved raising awareness around the school by creating a competition and making posters and banners to advertise it. Everyone had different job roles to make the process run smoothly and lots of problem solving had to be done! Everyone enjoyed the topic and allowed P3/4 and P4 to develop their enterprising and social skills as we had to work very well together to get the job done. The appeal was so great that we collected 113 shoe boxes in total!
The most amazing news was that we WON the competition by collecting the most shoe boxes in the whole school. Miss Lochhead rewarded us by having the wii during PE to develop our dancing skills. Everyone had a great time learning lots of new dance moves.
As well as developing our skills in gymnastics at PE, we have been developing our skills in creative dance. We had to work well in our co-op groups to create and perform a dance including spins and jumps. We are going to record our dances in the next few weeks so look out for them on the blog.
We are now going to be starting our new topic called Pond Life, so keep posted to find out what we have been learning.
